Located at 42 Aerodrome Rd in Caboolture, Tarmac Take Away is a delightful local gem for anyone craving hearty, traditional takeout fare. This humble takeout spot excels in delivering comfort food that feels like a warm, familiar hug on a plate—whether you're stopping by for a quick breakfast or a satisfying late-morning snack.
Step up to the counter and you’ll immediately notice the friendly, welcoming staff who set the tone for a pleasing experience. As Richard Olorenshaw shared, the coffee here stands out with a variety of milk options to suit your preference, making an early morning stop well worth it. Their bacon and egg on first bread is a classic done right—simple, satisfying, and perfect for those in a hurry. Ryan Hill’s enthusiasm for the bacon 'n' egg burger echoes the sentiment—each bite delivers warmth and a comforting simplicity that resonates long after your visit.
But Tarmac Take Away truly shines when it comes to their burger selection and side dishes. Vicki Lane's glowing review highlights both the size and freshness of the burgers, which are hearty enough to leave you truly satisfied without breaking the bank. The menu may be standard, but it’s done exceptionally well, offering a dependable option whether you're after a quick lunch or a fulfilling meal on the go.
And let’s talk about the legendary chips and gravy—Jason Graham’s passionate praise puts it best. The gravy is a revelation: rich, savory, and deeply comforting, it elevates what could be a simple side dish to a memorable indulgence. Paired with truly excellent beer-battered chips, this combo alone might justify a repeat visit.
Colin Picking’s experience echoes the unbeatable value and generosity of portions, especially compared to other local cafes. The friendly service and fresh, robust flavors firmly establish Tarmac Take Away as a top pick for Caboolture locals and visitors alike. While seating is limited to outdoor benches only, the easy parking access and relaxed atmosphere make it a convenient, no-fuss spot to enjoy quality takeaway with a touch of nostalgic charm.
Whether it’s your first visit or one of many, Tarmac Take Away promises comforting flavors, generous portions, and a welcoming smile—solid reasons to stop by and treat yourself to some truly satisfying traditional takeaway fare.

Great coffee with a variety of milks, friendly staff. Open early! Food fast and yummy but mostly traditional. I had a bacon and egg on first bread. Basic seating benches outside, no seating inside. Plenty of parking.

The service here was friendly quick and polite. The burgers were tasty and freshly made and huge the price was also pretty reasonable and I was left feeling satisfied. Definitely one of the better burgers I've had from a takeaway store. There hot box has lots to offer and they are clearly used to dealing with quiet a bit of foot traffic. The menu was pretty standard so if u want something different and interesting this is not the place for you. If u like burgers and cold drinks and hot box food this I your bar.

This place. Oh my god. I went here with my Father one day. Simple, quiet time just heading home after some early-morning work. Decided on a whim to get some chips and gravy. Normal stuff, right? That gravy. Never before have I experienced a taste so wonderful. Ever since that day I've been trying to make a gravy even remotely similar to it and have failed constantly. Please, even if it's the last thing you can do in the day, go to this store and purchase the chips and gravy. You'll not be disappointed.

Was about to pay $17.00 for a basic beef pattie burger at the wild horse cafe when I did a google maps search and found this place. Had a swagman beef rib fillet burger for $8.50 instead. Friendly service, truly excellent beer battered chips and good prices. My only complaint was the lack of beetroot on my burger but I am sure they would have fixed that for me had I mentioned it when ordering.

Just stopped in for a bite, lovely food for a little take away joint! Got a bacon 'n' egg burger, yummo! Menu is quite extensive too, good for lunch.
